Vintage Guitar Amplifiers

Here's a piece of history. This Guyatone Tokyo Sound GA 430 Guitar Amp survived the Vietnam War. It was purchased in Tokyo by a soldier on leave and brought back to Vietnam and then it returned home with him when his tour of duty was over. That's what they told me when I got it in '73 or 74 at a yard sale. Luckily the soldier survived and I was told he was doing well, but lost interest in playing guitar. I used it for a while before putting it in the closet. It works fine! The pots are a bit noisy when turning, but quiet right down. Reverb works and has a real but small spring tank like Accutronics and Fender. Tremolo is built in, but needs a foot switch to trigger it, which I don't have, so I have to assume that it works because everything else does. The speaker is a 10" Utah with no issues. Cosmetic condition is good with just enough crud to call it "patina". It has a two prong plug and all original tubes. Two tubes are 6BM8, one tube is unknown due to aged silkscreening but works fine, one tube is a12AX7. As best I can tell, eveything is 100% original. I have no idea who it is or where they are, but I guess that's what the old amp can sound like. Sold As-Is due to age. No returns. I'll remove and pack the tubes in bubble wrap if you want, or leave them in. It's your call
