The Venus 5 from Rivera is a 50 watt Class A amplifier that delivers both classic blackface vibe and huge high gain tones in a compact 1x12 combo. Featuring impeccable build quality and attention to detail, the Venus 5 features two fully independent channels, (5) 12AX7 tubes in the preamp section, and (2) 6L6 power amp tubes.

The clean channel delivers sweet blackface spank with great touch sensitivity and clarity. The sound is 3D and bright but without any hint of harshness. In addition to traditional bass, treble and midrange controls there is also a pull bright and a pull notch feature. The pull notch scoops the midrange giving the bass and highs a little more pop. Perfect for those extra funky moments.

The Lead/Crunch channel dishes out a wide range of warm bluesy tones via the gain and master volume controls. Nothing raspy or fizzy; just think classic 'Stones or James Gang. Pulling the boost function unleashes giant "California" tones that are thoroughly modern. Many amps out there touting high gain nirvana are often paired with a lackluster clean channel, but the Venus 5 excels at both.

The beautiful vintage-look cabinet is generous 12" deep and projects the spacious sound of a 2x12 without the extra weight and bulk. No need for an extension cab to get full sound!

Other thoughtful features include:
- Channel-assignable tube driven reverb

- "Focus" control which adjusts the amplifier damping for a looser/tighter sound
- Presence control for an up-front sound without excessive brightness

- A vintage/modern half-power switch for 25w/50w class A operation

- Effects loop with adjustable send and return levels
- Extension speaker jack and adjustable output impedance from 4-16 ohms

- Heavy duty footswitch with channel switching, boost enable, and reverb on/off.
