Very Rare HAMMOND 102200 Analog Synthesizer Synth Prototype
Fender Concert Pre-CBS – note the “Fender Electric Instrument Co” on the panel.
Concert was the precursor to the Fender Super Reverb – same amp without the
reverb. Rated 40 Watts with 4 – 10”
beautiful tremolo and incredible vintage tone. The tube chart shows a date code of NC which
indicates a manufacture date of March 1964. The speaker baffle and speakers
are not original. The baffle was made by Mojo Musical Supply using the finest
materials. The speakers are brand new Weber 10” Signature Alnicos. All filter and coupling caps have been
replaced due to age. The power cable has
been replaced by a 3-prong cable. All
other components – transformers, the cabinet, the
chassis, most electronics, the hardware,
tolex, tilt-back legs etc - are
original. The original Fender logo is not attached to the front panel, but is included in the auction (see pics). Also included is a brand new Fender cover.
The tolex on
this amp is stained and the hardware is tarnished. If you are a collector looking for an
all-original 9.5 to add to your trophy collection, this amp is obviously not
for you. But . . . if you’re a player
who appreciates the tone and vibe of a vintage fender amp, you owe it to
yourself to check this one out. This thing has beautiful clean tone and starts
to break up nicely at about 4 or 5. Roll it up to 8 – 10 and it becomes a beast
with shades of Eric Clapton or even Pete Townsend. Does not include the RCA footswitch for
tremolo, but can easily be found on Ebay.
This amp is located in San Diego and auction is for Local Pickup Only! I will NOT ship. If you are in the L.A. area I am willing to meet you half-way. Please email with questions. Thanks and happy bidding!
