Vintage 1966 Fender Champ Electric Guitar Amplifier Blackface Sounds Incredible
Your are bidding on a circa 1970's Acoustic Model 370 Bass Amp Head. If you're looking, you know what a great sounding vintage head this is!!!!
This 370 is in decent condition. i.e. it's taken it's lumps over the years...N.B. It works fine, sounds great but it looks a little beat up. As you can see from the pics the caps on two of the knobs are missing. Also, the middle graphic slider is not connected , however the control behind it is set at neutral. You can move the controller with the slider to either gain or cut, or, you can get it fixed... I thought it gave character to the head so I just left it like it was!
I don't have the official specs on the head but suffice it to say it has plenty of power. I think it was something like, 230 watts into a 4 ohm load (one 301 cabinet which I used for many years), and 365 watts into a 2 ohm load (two 301 cabinets, which was total overkill!!!) and only the 370 can sound like, well, an Acoustic 370 !!!
This is a truly wonderful vintage solid-state bass amplifier. As I mentioned, the knobs are beat up a little but they all work. The tolex is in decent shape, some tears etc that I tried to get in the pics.
The sound is very clean and powerful. The 5 band graphic EQ offers complete tonal control. Please email any questions, I'll put $40 in for shipping, if it's less I'll refund the difference if it's a lot more we'll have to adjust accordingly, local pickup is ok ....Cheers!!!!
