Vintage 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb. Not a reissue. Although you might get confused because this one looks incredible. I bought this a few years ago to see what all the fuss was about. (I'm a bass player but I play a little guitar.) Wow! I was blown away. I don't know what other vintage Deluxes sound like, but this one sounds...beautiful. There's no other way to describe it. I don't play it very often and I'm buying a lot of bass gear lately so it needs to go to a good home where it will be played and appreciated.

I just brought it up on a current limiter to reform the power capacitors. They have been replaced with Spragues to protect the amp but it's been sitting awhile so I took all precautions when firing it up. The chord has been replaced with a grounded plug for safety. The bias supply capacitor has been replaced. The bypass caps have been replaced with Sprauges of the proper value so you don't have to worry about any preamp tubes going haywire from dried up old electrolytic bypass capacitors. However, the most important coupling caps are all original. One of the foot switch plugs that plugs it in to the amp has been replaced. Other than that this baby is all original.

I tested all the pots. Absolutely no noise when you turn any of the pots whatsoever. If you turn up the volume and the treble both very high you will get some white noise which I believe is normal. No hum, no static, no microphonic tubes - nothing. The only issue I noticed is that the reverb was not working when I first turned it on. I reached in back and turned the reverb pan plugs that plug it into the amp and it come on. I tried turning them some more to see if it would go off and it didn't so I guess there might have been a little dirt or corrosion in the plug. Seems to be working great now. The reverb and tremolo work great. Absolutely no issues. Has the original foot switch in great shape. I believe it's the original reverb pan as well. Some of the knobs have a little denting on the top but I think they are all original. I think the pots are, too. Also notice in the pics that the chasis mounting bolts are all completely straight. A lot of times these are bent in vintage Fender amps by people that don't know what they are doing.

As you can see from the pics it is in incredible condition. Hardly a mark on the tolex. A couple of the bottom corners have a little fraying. Even the tolex on the bottom is in great shape. Someone stapled down the seams on both sides of the bottom tolex. There is one little rough spot on one side. Other than that the tolex is immaculate. The faceplate, logo and grill cloth are all in great shape. No snags, tears, stretches or anything in the grill cloth. As you can see in the pic it still has the original reverb pan sheath. One side has been stapled shut by someone because the threads came loose. It could also use a cleaning.

The cabinet is solid with no weaknesses that I could find. Still has what appears to be the original screen shielding in the top above the chassis. The back cover boards are both original. A couple of the screws are not original. One is broken off. The head is still in the board. I just left it in there.

It comes with an aftermarket cover (not pictured). It's in excellent condition also.

I made the mistake of playing it so I reserve the right to come to my senses and not sell this amp at anytime!

I pack well and ship fast. Check out my feedback. Must receive payment in 3 days or negative feedback will be given and the item will be re-listed.

I can never get the shipping calculator to work right! It's either too low and I end up eating some of the shipping costs or it's way too high. I only charge what it costs to ship it. I will refund the difference.
